What's JeroMiniatures
The Journey by JeroMiniatures
I'm Jero, and JeroMiniatures was born in 2013 from my passion for the world of miniatures and painting. What began almost as a hobby ended up becoming a personal and professional project that continues to grow over the years.
What defines JeroMiniatures is the attention to detail. I dedicate myself to creating custom pieces, enjoying every stage of the process, always with my own unique style and personality, striving to ensure that each miniature tells its own story.
Training plays a fundamental role at JeroMiniatures. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to guide hundreds of students through courses and workshops, helping them get started or continue improving their skills.
Teaching is an essential part of the project: sharing experience, observing each student's progress, and seeing them gain confidence and enjoy learning. JeroMiniatures is about creating, learning, and enjoying the details, always with a personal touch and a passion for this art.
Working closely with Marc Masclans, my mentor and colleague, has given me access to a unique workspace. This environment is key to ensuring high-quality training for my students and provides me with the opportunity to continue evolving and growing as a teacher every day.
Learning to paint miniatures is, in essence, a journey into observation. It's the process of retraining your eye to discover that, in the palm of your hand, there's a whole world waiting to be told.
At first, the journey begins with control: understanding how the paint flows, how light behaves, and how the brush becomes an extension of your intention. It's a stage of technical discovery where every small advance feels like a conquest of the minuscule.
However, as you progress, the journey deepens. It's about transforming your miniature into a canvas where technique meets creativity. Painting a figure ceases to be merely applying color and becomes an exercise in interpretation; you stop "painting figures" and begin to capture moments, situations, and their characters to tell small stories.
It's a discipline that demands patience and silence, offering in return a unique form of meditation. Each brushstroke is a decision, each miniature a new challenge, and each project a reflection of your own evolution. Ultimately, this journey doesn't seek a final goal, but rather the pleasure of seeing how, step by step, your hands acquire the ability to give life and character to what was once just an inert piece.
